Working for an expansion club meant taking on a little bit of everything—managing the website and app, leading graphic design, print marketing, and paid ads, and working with creative teams to bring the brand to life. Selling soccer in a new market took persistence and creativity, but the payoff was unforgettable.
Spokane showed up in full force, packing the stands for both Velocity FC and Zephyr’s sold-out home openers, proving the city was ready for the game. Velocity FC’s run to the League One Championship was the ultimate reward, a testament to the club’s rapid growth and the community’s unwavering support. Though the team fell short of the title, the journey to the final was nothing short of historic. And even that came with an unexpected twist—after a canceled flight left three of us stranded in Omaha, we made the call to drive the championship plate back ourselves—a surreal, exhausting, and hilarious journey that summed up the wild ride of the inaugural season.
Through it all, my real passion emerged—not just for creating content but for orchestrating the bigger picture. Whether it was structuring campaigns, planning media days, or designing visuals that told an athlete’s story, the most fulfilling part was bringing everything together in a way that made the moments feel larger than life. That season wasn’t just about launching a club; it was about discovering a love for the strategy, design, and storytelling that transform sports into something unforgettable.
